The Monash Institute of Medical Research (MIMR) offers a limited number of work experience placements, each of one week duration, for secondary school students throughout the year. The work experience programme is conducted by the Institute’s Postgraduate Committee, which has a commitment to encouraging secondary school students with a particular interest in a career in science and medical research.

In 2013, the work experience programme at MIMR is scheduled for 17-21 June and 16-20 September only. We regret that we cannot accommodate students on any other dates in 2013.

Applicants should email Dr Susan Cumming, outlining the reasons why they would like to undertake a work experience placement at MIMR, their planned VCE subjects, and their vocational and personal interests. Applicants should also attach their CV, and provide the name and contact details of a suitable referee.
