Education Program in Reproduction and Development
The Education Program in Reproduction and Development (EPRD) is a joint venture of the Monash Institute of Medical Research (MIMR) and Prince Henry's Institute (PHI) Physiology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Anatomy & Cell Biology.
The primary aim of the EPRD is to foster education and research into reproductive biology. A diverse range of highly qualified researchers and academics contribute considerable expertise to our courses. Consequently, the ERPD is well placed to provide exceptional education and training in the multi-faceted and exciting discipline that this field has become.
The EPRD offers postgraduate research, coursework degrees and short courses for those interested in reproductive sciences.
Graduate Diploma of Reproductive Sciences
This course work degree is offered as an alternative pathway to students who do not wish to do an Honours year. This is a higher degree by Research. Laboratory research generally takes place under the supervision of senior researchers at PHIMR, MIRD or in University departments of Anatomy & Cell Biology; Paediatrics; Pharmacology; Physiology or Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Master of Clinical Embryology
This course work degree provides unique training for those interested in working in IVF clinics. Practical work is completed in a student laboratory at Monash Medical Centre (MMC) whilst theoretical units are undertaken at MMC, MIMR and Monash University, Clayton Campus.
