Work Experience at MIMR

Your future in medical research awaits you at MIMR!

Teaching in lab

Undertaking further study at MIMR is an enriching and rewarding experience. As a dedicated research institute, MIMR offers opportunities not always found in university departments where the staff have heavy undergraduate teaching loads.

MIMR has more than 200 potential supervisors in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, stem cells and clinical research, who are internationally renowned for their research. Scientists and students at MIMR have access to state-of-the-art technology, including embryo microinjection, gene arrays, laser-capture micro dissection, confocal microscopy, stem cell technologies and cell imaging.

If you would like an idea of the diverse range of projects on offer at MIMR, download a copy of the 2009 student handbook, and contact the supervisors who oversee the projects in which you are interested. You will then have an opportunity to come and meet the scientists and tour our facilities, and hear first-hand about the exciting opportunities on offer at MIMR.
