- Paraffin embedding stations
- Microtomes
- Cryostats
Services

Cryosections - where retention of antigenicity is a priority tissues can be fixed through snap freezing and cryosections prepared.
Immunohistochemical staining –antibodies specific to scientists’ requirements can be used to detect proteins of interest in the tissue samples.
Training – monthly training courses are conducted in the laboratory for research staff and students wishing to become familiar with these techniques.
Equipment access – staff and students who have undergone training and been licensed on particular equipment can access the machines through an on-line booking system.
