MIMR's Australia Day Ambassador

 Dr.Tu’uhevaha Kaitu’u-Lino from the Centre for Women’s Health Research was appointed an Australia Day Ambassador. As an Ambassador she was invited to attend the Australia Day celebrations at the Sydney suburb of Hunters Hill.

Dr. Kaitu’u-Lino contributed to the Australia Day formalities by assisting the morning’s citizenship ceremony and then giving an address on ‘ What it means to be Australian’ to the crowd, which included government ministers, distinguished guests and residents from the community of Hunters Hill.

Last year, Dr. Kaitu’u-Lino was recognised for her contribution to medical research when she was awarded the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female Woman of the Year.
