Dr Birunthi Niranjan

Research Fellow, Centre for Urological Research

Dr Birunthi Niranjan (Brindi) joined the Centre for Urological Research in 2003 after migrating from the U.K. She obtained her PhD in 2002 from Imperial College (Division of Medicine), London, studying the role of Hepatocyte Growth Factor/ Scatter Factor on human mammary gland morphogenesis.

Prior to this, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Cancer Research (Sutton) culturing primary mammary cells. Dr Niranjan is currently investigating the functional roles of novel Activins in prostate cancer.
