Professor David Healy PhD, FRANZCOG, FRCOG (HON), CREI

Chair, Monash University Department Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Professor Healy was appointed Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University in 1990 and Chairman and Professor of the Monash University Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1994. He is Head of the Reproductive Biology Unit at Monash Medical Centre and has played a major role in advancing reproductive endocrinology and in training obstetricians and gynaecologists in operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.

Professor Healy was Program Chairman of the 17^th World Congress International Federation of Fertility Societies, 2001. He was Chairman of the 2008 World Endometriosis Society Meeting.

In 2002 he was awarded Fellowship Ad Eundem of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, United Kingdom for his contributions to the Science and Art of Clinical Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Women’s Health. Professor Healy is the author of Effective Gynaecological Day Surgery and has published over 200 manuscripts in peer reviewed journals.
