Dr. Arvind Sehgal joined Monash Newborn, Monash Medical Centre as a neonatologist in August 2007 after finishing two-year fellowship in the Integrated Neonatal Perinatal Fellowship Training Program at The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, Canada .

Prior to that he has trained as Fellow in Neonatal Cardiology at University College London Hospitals, London, UK and as neonatal registrar in tertiary units in Sydney, NSW, Australia. He did his primary and specialist medical education from University College of Medical Sciences and Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, India respectively.

His special interests include preterm cardiovascular function & ductus arteriosus, functional techocardiography and medical education. His research presentations  to international societies and publications revolve around acute  hemodynamic alterations and impact of haemodynamically significant ductus arteriosus.

He also successfully completed the Harvard ManageMentor PLUS Course at Harvard, Boston and Physician Manager Course with the Canadian Medical Association, Canada.
